HOW
DO I....
OBTAIN
A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION?
Prescriptions for
medicines taken regularly can be obtained without patients being seen provided
that the doctor has agreed to this. We do not accept requests for prescriptions
by telephone. Our prescription system is computerised and, therefore, if you require
a repeat you will need to use the tear-off slip on the right hand side of your
last prescription. Tick which items you require and put the slip in the prescription
box at the surgery or, if you prefer, post your request to us. If you wish us
to post your prescription back to you please enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
From time to time you may be asked to see a doctor to review your medication.
PLEASE ALLOW 48 HOURS (TWO WORKING DAYS) FOR REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS TO BE PROCESSED
BEFORE COLLECTING FROM THE SURGERY.
Prescriptions must be collected by a responsible person over 14 years of age.
