HOW DO I...
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

Telephone or call at the surgery during opening times. An appointment is for one person only. Children under 14 years old should be accompanied by a responsible adult. Urgent cases will be seen the same day but not necessarily by the doctor of your choice.

We try to keep to appointment times but some problems take longer to deal with than others and occasionally we need to fit in emergencies. Please try to understand if you are kept waiting.

When making an appointment with the nurse please advise the receptionist what the appointment is for. This will ensure that you are allocated an appropriate time slot.

Please advise us if you cannot keep an appointment so that these times are not wasted.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN A HOME VISIT?

Whenever possible please try to ring between 8.30am and 10.00am to request a home visit. This allows us to plan our rounds. The receptionist will need to be told your symptoms so that urgent cases are seen first. This service is at the discretion of the doctors and should only be requested if you are housebound or too ill to attend the surgery.

Children can usually be brought safely to the surgery. Sometimes we may ask you to come to the surgery. If this is possible you will be seen as quickly as possible. Please remember that we can see four or five patients in surgery in the time it takes to do one home visit, so please do not request a home visit unless it is strictly necessary.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN TEST RESULTS?

You can telephone or come to the reception for results of laboratory tests, x-rays etc. Please note that we cannot give information to another person without your written permission.

Pregnancy test results will not be given over the telephone.
